Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE)

Awarded for a combination of the charity work done over the previous 20 years and the external stakeholder involvement whilst at work. This includes coordinating the Solihull Round Table Fireworks for seven years and creating a Solihull 'Blood Bike' charity which has now become part of Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes and is a 100% voluntary charity with no government support or paid employees and a turnover of over £200,000pa saving the NHS far in excess of this annually and keeping ambulances focused on emergency attendance.

HOSPITALITY

Taking the Ramada Grange and Ramada Solihull from three to four stars based on service alone.

Winning Rosette restaurant status at the Arnos Manor Hotel.

Adding a 40 bedroom extension to the Mercure Bristol North hotel.

Winning a 'Community Hero' Award at the Ramada Solihull.

SHOPPING CENTRES

Nominated for 'Centre Manager of the Year' twice in three years with the British Council of Shopping Centres.

Gaining the status of International Green Apple Gold for energy initiatives (worldwide status).

Gaining ISO50001 status for Touchwood Shopping Centre, the first of its kind.

Integrating a Shopmobility offer into the Shopping Centre at no additional cost.

Managing the local relationships in a major shopping centre expansion.

PROPERTY, EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS

At least 25 deals with a lifetime value in the many tens of millions in property, leisure and partnerships.

Landing the two largest naming rights deals in the history of the NEC Group in 2024 with bp pulse Live and Utilita Arena Birmingham.

Unlocking alternative uses of existing space on tarmac spaces and woodlands, including the UK's largest glamping site and the UK's largest EV charging hub, taking them from commercial negotiation to opening.

Married since 1995 with two degree-educated children.

Creating a YouTube channel with over 1.6 million views

Organising and riding a motorcycle tour of 12 countries in 9 days.

Organising a motorcycle trip for 16 people to the top of the Stella Alpina in the Alps

Being published in Adventure Bike Rider magazine for the above trip.

Rescuing two dogs from Cyprus who are now our lifelong companions.
