I have a long record of working with charities to deliver value from my time, whether that is volunteering, setting up charities or bringing experience to Boards.

Blood Bikes

First as a volunteer blood bike rider for Bristol Freewheelers, then moving to Solihull, realising there was no similar service in the Solihull area I set up Touchwood Freewheelers with two motorbikes funded by Touchwood Shopping Centre and voluntary donations. This then merged to form Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes and is still going strong.

Solihull Shopmobility

When the Shopmobility service for Solihull Town Centre was placed under threat due to a lack of funding I stepped in to help organise the transition to it being run as a service by the shopping centre, keeping a vital service for the town centre.

Citizen's Advice Trustee - Solihull

Citizen's Advice is a charity which is not widely recognised as many see it as a government funded body. As a Trustee I continue to support the charity to deliver vital and often life-saving advice to sectors of society that often have nowhere else to turn,

Solihull Round Table

After being a member for ten years I then became president in 2017. During my time in Round Table I transitioned the Solihull Fireworks Display from being a loss-leading event which was at threat of closure to being one of the biggest charity fundraising displays in the Midlands, raising over £40,000 per event in its current configuration.

Continuing to support Round Table in the follow-up wing of Round Table.

Enterprise Advisor

I have been an 'Enterprise Advisor' to Lode Heath School in Solihull since the EA program came into existence, being a critical friend to the school Careers lead on the needs of the workplace for the students.
